Hmm it's still too humid for me, have the A/C on still.

Right - the historic average high in May in Dallas is 84 - which means that some days are 80 and other days are 88 but whatever.

It went from winter/2 weeks of spring to straight summer from April to may. As soon as may hit it was already in the 90's basically the whole month

I think part of it is some people have little tolerance for the cold and need to dress up for it, but I think a large part of it is fashion. "Fall Fashion" which is based on places with 4 real seasons which forces a seasonal change.

I've noticed alot of "Seasonal" winter items like peacoats and sweaters for example down here are thinner material than the ones I've bought up north, the simple reason being, they need to look like winterwear when from a practical standpoint they are spring or fall. I mean to be perfectly honest you can wear shorts 9-10 months of the year down here, and I do, when the occasion allows it.

Having lived in places with a true autumn, I'm constantly amused by the fact that Texans think "fall" weather is when it stops hitting 90 every day.

In Texas, we'll take what we can get.
