Hot summers tend to be followed by coolers winters, but this year we are in wetter months rather than in drought conditions. So, hard to know, but this year was similar to 1989 weather-wise, and we had a cold winter/spring in 1990.

I don't know, but with all the rain, I think it's quite possible the average temp will be lower than most years. Have you guys out in Midland seen more rain than usual?

My husband is working out in Midland and he said they've gotten quite a bit of rain this past week but also some really beautiful weather mixed in as well.

I think it's going to be a cooler than normal fall. Mid 50's expected Monday in Austin, that's cold for October.

I hope we get a hard freeze. We didn't get one last summer and the mosquitos have been brutal this summer.

We got over 5 inches of rain in less than an hour yesterday with a LOT more rain coming our way over the next week. Pretty unusual for this time of year. I mean, it's not unusual to get rain in October but it's unusual to get BUCKETS of rain for days on end in October.
