What about those of us who have been in the State since before the Republic and are not conservative (or liberal, for that matter)? And who support Biden, whether or not he was our first choice, because the alternative was basically to emulate Germany in the 1930's? Are we unwelcome because we don't fit in your little box? Doesn't seem particularly Texan to me.

That’s fine
As long as conservatives stay out of the liberal counties in Texas that have all the high paying jobs

Germany in the 1930s?

Really?

I sure could go for some of that "1930s Germany" gas and grocery prices right now. LOL

Go study the history of how the "good Germans" let the man who told them they could only trust him, he was the ONLY person who could "make Germany great again", let what happened there starting in the 1930's happen. Look at the similarities and the play book that was used then (and by many other authoritarian dictatorships over the centuries). Look at the mood of the people then and how they let themselves be grifted into supporting monsters.

Then we can talk. Though I suspect from what you say you will find nothing wrong with what was done then, and that's the real problem.

America in 2020 was NOT Germany circa 1930. Not even close.

In fact, the ones running things now are the ones that censor, limit choices, want forced medical procedures, gun bans and govt controlled healthcare and govt controlled media. THAT is literally the German National Socialists agenda of the early 30s you speak of.

I have lived back and forth between Texas and Tennessee for many years, and they don't. Don't look like alike, dress alike, sound alike, or anything.

Nope (and the Nazi Party was not socialist - again, you need to actually study the history, as well as learning the meaning of terms that you use as boogeymen).

Did you know that in 1905 the Supreme Court of the United States in Jacobson v. Massachusetts determined that mandatory vaccination during a public health emergency is entirely Constitutional? (The Constitution not saying, contrary to what some stuck in spoiled adolescence want to believe, "You're not the boss of me!") Justice Harlan, in that decision, stated:

"There is, of course, a sphere within which the individual may assert the supremacy of his own will and rightfully dispute the authority of any human government, especially of any free government existing under a written constitution. But it is equally true that in every well-ordered society charged with the duty of conserving the safety of its members the rights of the individual in respect of his liberty may at times, under the pressure of great dangers, be subjected to such restraint, to be enforced by reasonable regulations, as the safety of the general public may demand."

In other words, in a civilized country, rights go hand in hand with responsibilities, and if you reject the responsibilities, you likewise reject the rights. And one right we do NOT have, and should not, is the right to decide for our own selfish reasons to put the health and lives of our fellow citizens at risk, be it with a virus, or firing randomly into a crowd, or driving a vehicle through a parade, or setting off a bomb in a crowded public place - all the same thing morally.

As for censorship, the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States prohibits the GOVERNMENT from passing laws restricting speech. It does not REMOVE the rights of individuals, businesses, social media platforms, from restricting speech in their own living rooms, premises, platforms. It also does not require that anyone listen to what you (or I) want to say, nor does it state that we should have no consequences to ourselves of said speech (or to others). For that matter, laws against libel and slander are entirely Constitutional so there can be some restriction on speech by the government (yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater when there is no fire being the classic example).

Don't forget the use of extreme nationalism and using minority groups as scapegoats

Because they don't.

People in Dallas and Houston also don't look like people from Philly, Boston or New York.
I travel for work all the time. One of my past times is too people watch at the airport.
What's interesting is too notice the gates for different cities, and how varied the residents of these cities look.

A flight going to El Paso, or San Antonio will be dominated by Hispanic people of Mexican descent.
Meanwhile a flight headed to Miami or Ft Lauderdale will have a huge Latin influence of people.

If you look at flights headed to major cities in the North East the majority of the people will have dark hair. You do not see that many fair skinned white people headed to NYC, or Philly.

A flight headed to the Bay Area, or Seattle is going to have a higher number of Asians....etc

People in Memphis and Nashville do not look or sound like folks from Dallas or Houston.
Money and socioeconomics is the biggest reason for this difference.
