Liberals move to conservative places because they cannot survive in the places they've ruined.

You're insulting their ability to spell but you can't or won't use capitalization or punctuation. My second grader would have gotten all sorts of colored ink on his homework if he turned this in. Proofreading is a good thing if you wish to be taken seriously.

Loads of irony from that poster.

And yet the midterms were a massive victory for Democrats in Texas. Republicans gained literally nothing and the Dems gained a lot.

The Dems lost ground in the mid terms when Obama was president. The Reps lost in the mid terms when Bush was president. The Dems lost in the mid terms when Clinton was president. Nothing new under the sun.

You're referencing the general national trends, but that poster was talking specifically about Texas.

Im specifically talking about Texas and this was not your run of the mill midterms for Texas. These midterms say a lot about the direction Texas is heading. Maybe not a blue state but its certainly becoming a purple one. We can thank the suburbs for that.

Trends are seen by taking into account long term patterns. You have many other factors to consider. You have a President in the White House unbeloved by many Republicans and swing voters. I know many who jumped ship because of him, not because they are more "blue" than they once were.

We continue to be a slightly right of center country. The pendulum swings left and right depending on many factors. Swung right last election, heading back left. Then it will go right again. Then left. Trump is an anomaly in the system. When he is gone, let's see where Texas and Georgia and other states people are saying are turning purple end up.
