South Padre Island seems beautiful and more importantly affordable. I’m guessing as a resort town that there’s a spa or two. I’m not relocating for another 4-5 years so I have time to explore. It’ll just be me and my dog as the kid will be in college hopefully. I don’t see any apartment buildings so you have to really love SPI before moving there. I’ve yet to visit so if you can tell me more about the town/city I’d appreciate it.

You´ll be pretty close if you settle in Port Isabel, right across the bridge from SPI. Supposed to be a pretty nice place, but with a local community as well (SPI is mostly hotels and condos for visitors).

What’s the spas like here? Independent or Corporate? Pay scale? If anybody knows it would help.

Salons that offer massage therapy and facials and waxing. Sorry for any confusion.
