Mcallenforayear is on a distinguished road
Default Moving to the Mcallen area for a year.

I am moving to Mcallen this summer with my wife and two daughters. My daughter is an avid horseback rider (rides English but wants to learn Western) and goes to a strong school district. I am looking to lease a horse for her. Any recommendations. Also, please provide information about the school districts. I am thinking about enrolling her in the Idea Quest School or Beta magnet. Does anyone have any insights on those schools or any other middle schools. Finally, I am trying to figure out what neighborhoods we should try and live in. We are looking for a four bedroom house to rent in the 1,000 to 1,500 price range. Any suggestions and/or tips for making this year as enjoyable as possible? Thanks!

I would look into the Sharyland Plantation area--also, there are equestrian clubs in McAllen and Sharyland. Good Luck!
