I will be driving a 17' U-Haul truck from Dallas to Las Vegas. Any advice on how to schedule drive time, where to stop, which route to take, what to pay attention to is greatly appreciated.

SUV is my regular ride, I have very infrequently driven such a large truck.

I40 is a nice drive to Kingman, AZ and then Northwest to Las Vegas. If you're a member of AAA, then you could get free trip paks that have all the info you need on motels, restaurants, etc..

Either I-20 west to I-10, west to Tucson, and up to Phoenix and Kingman on I-40, then on in to Vegas on whatever road it is. Or, US 287 to Amarillo, I-40 to Kingman, then on in to Vegas on whatever road it is. I sure don't envy your trip for any reason, though. Good Luck!
