Well since your from Midland/Odessa. Tyler is the biggest city with barley a bit over 100,000. Longview the second biggest city is a bit over 70,000 people. The rest are just small towns with not much to do but have a lot of religious influence and also a lot of community feel. Towns their have a church on nearly every block and people expect you to be religious there. Like in my school, we would have prayers and teachers would talk about god in classrooms. Like that was normal in my area, and it's way different living in a city or other part of Texas compared to East Texas. I really do think you would love how religious that area is and as well likely find a church that you would love to be part in. If you feel East Texas isn't the best way, then try to find a Church of Christ near Bulverde, so you don't have to be far away from your family.

Just wanted to clarify that the Tyler metro area is well over 200k people (and Longview's metro area is over 200k in population as well). Tyler has tons of "bedroom communities" such as Overton, Lindale, Whitehouse, Flint, Bullard, Chandler, Hide A Way, you name it.

I'm Roman Catholic and if I ever remarry, I want to marry someone who shares my faith, my goals, my lifestyle, etc. too. There are no perfect people but there's no point in adding a difference in faith to the mix.
Right I just want to marry a woman who i am compatible with and agree on the major issues so our marriage can have the best shot at working.

That's how I feel. If I ever date or remarry, I only want it to be with someone who is either 1) very accepting of my Catholic faith or 2) preferably Catholic himself. Why build in something to disagree on?

You definitely should. It's a whole different type of animal than Waco, or Midland, or El Paso or even Fort Worth.

Let me know if you decide to head this way and I'll give you some quick pointers!

Your comment seems to be random. What spurred you to take a pot shot at Christians? I haven't read a post on this thread that explicitly stated or implied that Christians are perfect and live perfect lives.

Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.

You know, I don't normally respond to pot shots but I agree with you - this isn't a thread about religion or religious beliefs and I don't understand the need for a minority of people to make random sarcastic comments about people who have religious beliefs.

I don't see why wanting to marry someone who shares the same beliefs and values is so hard for anyone to accept. Goodness.
