By baby doctor, do you mean an OB or a Pediatrician?
For an OB, definitely go with Southeast Texas OB/GYN. Dr's Brent Bost, Kelly Rising & Coffey Pieternelle are extremely well-respected. If these 3 are not taking new patients, I'd go with any of the other OB's at SETX OB/GYN --I've never heard anything but compliments about their entire group of doctors. I personally see Dr. Bost (along with other family members), my sister sees Dr. Pieternelle and I have several friends who see Dr. Rising. For Pediatricians, try Dr. Nathan Roesler with Beaumont Pediatrics. (Check them out at Beamont Pediatric Center:Home) This is my personal pediatrician. However, all of the doctors at Bmt. Pediatrics are well-recommended. They have a walk-in clinic for sick kids only without an appointment. It's great because they open at 7:30 and keep the sick kids isolated from the healthy kids who are just there for scheduled check-ups, shots, etc. (Separate waiting rooms) Last edited by maggie12674; 05-06-2008 at 12:15 PM. I agree.
I've used SE TX Ob/Gyn for 11 yrs and have had both of my kids delivered by them. I use Dr. Bost and absolutely love him. At Bmt Pediatrics, I use Dr. Kyle Worley, but have seen all of the doctors there at some point or another, and they are all great. I also love the separate waiting rooms, and the on-site Quest lab. Both are very well run offices as well, in that it doesn't take 3 hours of waiting for the doctor. For checkups, at both places, I can think of very few times that I wasn't in and out within an hour (parking and all). |

Pieternelle is the bomb. My wife uses him and I also work in the hospital by his office. He is highly respected.
We also use Bmt Pediatrics, Dr Renee Brown. I think you will be very satisfied with these docs and their groups. BTW, my wife and I are both critical RN's here! |
