It's 83 here in Abilene right now. That's not too bad. TOMORROW is going to be miserable, though. A projected 96 degrees because our weather will be coming in from the desert Southwest. Well, at least it's a dry heat. I can't stand humidity!
Mothers Day is looking good for us -- a cold front is coming in Sunday morning! High of 80 forecast for Sunday! Fire up the barby!!!

Very hot. Had garage sale today, thanking God for the breeze and shade else it would not have been good at all.

jread is right, it's hot today. I was in Lexington picking Strawberries. Even wearing a hat and drinking 1,000 gallons of water, it was tough. Even my kid doesn't want to go outside right now. The guy at the berry farm said that it was possible it could get into triple digits in the Austin area today.

YIKES!!!! It always amazes me how much difference a few hundred miles makes! We won't see triple digits here until July. Last summer, we didn't at all.
Stay cool and hydrated, y'all!

The Answer Is Blowing From My Fans
It will be in the nineties in Dallas this weekend. My AC is ready, but I've still got to conserve. My ceiling and floor fans are ready!

I guess I must be feeling a bit of my age, even though I'm not that old yet, really 5-10 yrs. ago being out at high noon on a really hot day would be absolutely no big deal, and I grew up on the humid Texas Coast.

It only got up to 92 today, last I heard (which was about 5:00
). My recollection is that that's pretty normal for May in Austin.

The Bushes should have waited until October to hold their outdoor wedding. Tomorrow should be as bad as any in memory.
