Alright, folks, here is my top ten. Keep in mind that futexan said "personalities" and not necessarily Texas heroes from history.

These are in no particular order.

1. Sam Houston
2. Audie Murphy
3. Buddy Holly
4. Lyndon Baines Johnson
5. Blackie Sherrod
6. Sam Rayburn
7. Willie Nelson
8. Selena
9. Kay Bailey Hutchison
10. Tom Landry
