Apples and oranges.

Your husband deserves all those things. Bloated military budgets are welfare for defense contractors. That's what should stop.

People assume military budget = care for veterans. That isnt the case most of the time.

She didn't throw it in the mix. Someone else did.

My son in law is a major in the AF. He's about to retire after over 20 years in (he started out enlisted). He's had MANY deployments, living in a tent, months and months away from home and his wife and kids. And his is a PAPERWORK job. (Chair Force, anyone? LOL).

My Dad spent 7 months living in a tent in the Aleutian Islands in 1943, with Japanese shooting at him part of the time.
Then he spent 7 fun months in France (1944-45) with Germans dropping bombs too close to him.
When he retired in 1959 with a partial disability, he received a bloated pension of $500/month.

I’m sure many here who did not serve think that was a terrible waste of taxpayer money.

You're the gas.

Do you enjoy America? You do so on the backs of the military ... millions who have served and over a million who paid for your privilege with their life. That's on such an elevated level of moral that the blind such as yourself shouldn't be allowed to breathe free American air . . . but you are ! And in case you happen to not enjoy America then I suggest you get the he11 out!

The government doing "morally right" . . . HA ! not of late, in fact that is the epitome of an oxymoron. There is little that is moral in our government and this act sure in the hell ain't ... it's an act of playing to the voting base to solidify it. Nothing more and that makes it immoral !

I lost count of how many times people told me that the laws of this county should be based on the Bible
Funny because it shows that they’ve never read the Bible

Well, you never heard me say that. Because I never have said that and didn't say it in the post you were responding to.
