Besides Dallasboi failing to convince the world that Dallas is the premier shopping city of Texas, there’s a headline almost as notable that surprised me a thread hasn’t started.

Paxton impeachment discussion

Meh.

Will just be replaced by another snake regardless of which party. Never cared about or paid attention to him. Carrying on with my day.

I noticed a thread about it in the Politics forum. Probably gets more attention and comments from people in NYC, etc. than from any Texans. I say, big deal and who cares.

Like Need4Camero said, he will just be replaced by another snake. They are all just one big den of thieves and crooks.

Not all snakes are created equal though.

I don’t like Greg Abbott but he hasn’t been pulling strings to get his mistress a job, using state funds to remodel his home, or try to get taxpayers to pay his whistleblower lawsuit.

Paxton is an actual criminal and if 60 GOP representatives voted to impeach him, you know the evidence is compelling. Of course they are going to put in another guy whom I won’t like, but I’ll settle for not an overt crook.

I patiently await the “what about Hillary…” comments.

I was going to say the same thing.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but Texas Republicans nowadays make me miss Bush.
With all his imperfections he still has more class and grace than this crop of politicians.

Most politicians don't get away with putting the taxpayers on the hook for over $3 million for a lawsuit he caused. The scumbag pushed the envelope too far with that one.

How is that relevant to the comment you responded to?
