The first one came up practicly dry, and went down about 1,000 feet. As for the cattle, if you want them out of your place, YOU have to put up a fence to keep them out. Brie

They are in aircraft, on four wheelers, and on horseback. They have night vision, and thermal imaging scopes, and the WILL call your GPS position to HQTRS RIGHT NOW.
The road you are talking about heads to the east just to the north of the Border patrol station that in on the northbound side of HWY54. There are SEVERAL turns that you HAVE to make, and NONE of them are marked.
Just go the long way around. Brie

Not for the reason I gave and then you give the same reason... how funny.

Thanks for the info.
Sounds like hit and miss for water in the area.
I don't mind being around cattle, don't care if they wonder through my lot.

I googled wallacetown and found this thread. I live in Desert Haven and we saw Mae Carson sometime about Feb at Arby's. Think she said she was living close to Socorro, doing well, and yes she still has a lien on the Wallacetown property. We drove past there a while ago on the way to the Dell Telephone annual meeting and it looks dead there.
Just checking in to see if there are any late rumors about the 62/180 corridor to the Dell City junction.

The back way to Timberon? OK, I know what you mean there....people that have gone that route have always said that it's not a good way to go...! I wondered about that, but wasn't sure whether or not part of it was the same road.
As I did Muhnay's post, I appreciate yours also, Brie! The last two times I've gone the EP route, I've taken the 375/Transmountain road. It's about the same distance as staying on 54 all the way to 10....and a LOT less stressful!! Thanks!!
After having learned a very hard lesson on an unpaved road (4 to 26) from Los Alamos to Farmington, I don't do backroads that much unless I KNOW them.....or I ASK first. I was lucky to get out of that one without sliding down the side of a mountain in a non-4WD vehicle. The clay soil up there becomes dangerously slick (much worse than sand/sand mixtures)..I had to drive fast enough to keep from getting stuck....and slowly enough not to lose control.

WRONG, MUHNAY, I wrote that as long as she STAYED ON THE ROADS, she would be fine. You intoned that she ran the risk of getting "visited" by people with assault rifles, and short tempers, even if she STAYED on the roads.
I went up there by road MANY TIMES before I started flying in, and NEVER was stopped by ANYONE. Brie

What ever, you seem to think you know what I am thinking and intending more than I do.. so how do I respond to you.. I mean tell me since you seem to know what I am thinking more than I do.

Check with B-Bar Surveying in Alamogordo. Barry Stewart has done a lot of surveying in Hudspeth County
