Actually, how far are you from Abilene, Belle? I just took some friends from Canada who were visiting down to Fredericksburg for the day. It's a 3-hour drive (one way) from Abilene to Fredericksburg.

Thanks, case!  LOL, I get all mixed up as to what is "central Texas." Heh, to me, Abilene is the start of West Texas but we're sometimes called "central Texas." AND "central West Texas," which confuses the heck out of me!

yep, like my friend who lives in Bangs/Brownwood-sometimes his area is referred to as West Texas.he refers to it as Central Texas...i dunno!

And every now and then on the Weather Channel, they call us north Texas. No wonder we are schizoid in Abilene.
