Here's the 2008 scheduals for every high school in every classification in Texas for this year.

Just click the region on top as there are 4 with 8 districts in each one with all their district scheduals. For other classifications look at the top right and click on the one that interests you.

That's really weird seeing Arlington Bowie ranked so high. I went there the first year it opened back in 92.

In Southlake you can sense the pride in their football team. Things get kind of green in town during football. In Euless, where I live, I wouldn't of known they had a state championship team, unless it was in the news. Good for them though, hope they do well.

FYI --- I was a junior when the original Bowie High closed in 1983. I was at Lamar, but Bowie was really on the verge of breaking out. Had they not closed, they might have had their first district title or at least a share of it. Really. They were getting to be that good.

On the east side of the state in the Eastern Brackets Converse Judson is always a powerhouse out of San Antonio as is Austin Westlake and usually Katy out of the Houston area is up there every year.
Never count out or underestimate Permian. They are always capable --- and still are --- of doing great things.

This year, Abilene has a 5A High School (Abilene High), a 4A High School (Abilene Cooper), and a 3A High School (Abilene Wylie). Wouldn't it be great if we won in all three divisions?

Question Realignment

Wow , Quite a realignment in the old 'Little Southwest Conferance' When did they bump Abilene Cooper down to 4A? It will really be differant with out the two-- Odessa, Midland, Abilene, schools, and San Angelo High in the same district. Thanks for the links 6'3.

Yeah i rememeber back in the 80's and mid 90's that Odessa Permian and Midland Lee would usually both be 9-0 and play each other the last game of the season for district title then come playoffs as the 1st place and 2nd place teams make the playoffs as they would both steamroll through and meet each other again in the Texas West Region Title Game and the Winner usually made the State Title Game to either win or lose to either the Houston area Title Champ or Converse Judson out of San Antonio.

Anyway i'm going to the store today to get grub and they should have ''Dave Campbells Texas Football'' magazine in the magazine rack and if they do i'm buying it as it features every single high school in every classification and gives the predicted finish in district for each team and also how many players returning on offence and defense for every team and i'll give out more info once i buuy it (usually about $10.00 for the mag).

Aug 28 is the kickoff !!!!!
