Pipeline Jobs
I don't know about Austin, But there are plenty of trackhoe and dozier jobs available form Houston to Dallas to West Texas in the pipeline end. They run from $18.00 to 22.00 depending on skill and who you work for. You might try Driver Pipeline in Dallas or Houston. Cypress Creek in Houston. Watkins Construction in Corsicana. Most are also paying per-diem for good hands that live out of town. There are Pipeline contractors all over the state. You might look into Eagle Enviromental or US filter in the San Antonio area.

The Golden Triangle area is where it's at right now for this type of work.

anyone know of any construction jobs in texas that pay per diem, put you in a hotel and start at 10 an hour? I was given a phone number by this dude and he told me to call it. He was with a construction company and when i was going to call the number, I lost it.

A lot of the pipeline contractors will pay per diem if their job is 60 miles or more from their office. It is usually from 50 to 60 dollars a day for laborers put that is for your meals and hotel room. Some will pay $10. an hour depending on experience.

You want a job paying 50K per year and they will hire a heavy equipment operator off the street if you can pass a drug test?
Gillette Wyoming. Black Thunder Mine, Caballo Mine, Jacob's Ranch Mine, etc. The town is sorely in need of workers.

I just reconnected with an old friend on facebook who does that sort of thing or at least is in that line of work. He lives in Katy and works somewhere outside of Houston. I'll try and see what company.
