We need a Canada area to post in, because if Obama wins, I may just move there and change my citizenship.

I've read about his background and things just don't add up. Sorry, but they don't.
Did it add up for Bill Clinton, who also rose from a poor background to the highest office in the nation? How did he pay for his education? Or John Edwards? Guess it was genies that helped them too, right lonestar?

For everyone that busts their butt to get somewhere in work/life, there are 100 people looking on who can't believe what just "fell in their lap." Seriously, I see it every day in my business. It's too bad. Just because YOU (or even I, for that matter) are not motivated enough or capable of working hard to get ahead, doesn't mean that others who can are just getting lucky.

Perhaps it's a conspiracy! You might find like minded individuals at Alex Jone's web site here -- Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! . I think he believes the Illuminati are behind Obama's rise. Plus, he's from Texas, so you are getting a local perspective... and I'm still able to tie in to the OT here and keep it Texas-related

I thought Canada was full now, with all those people (esp. the Hollywood celebs) who said they'd be moving if GWB won in '04. Oh wait, they're all still here.

I want to see some links to home listings once Obama wins, people!! Don't let us down like the wanna-be Canadians in '04!!

LOL.. If OBAMA looses do you think he will claim he needs Affirmative action, and over turn our election results to get the job? lol

Or will that be how he gets the job in the first place.. Not Qualified but he got in because he's black? Wait if he does get in then I guess they would have to drop Affirmative action.. cant have a black President and then say life is unfair we need laws to get us work.

Heh, good choice, Belle! I have good friends who live in Calgary and they came to visit me here two weeks ago. They keep telling me that Calgary and Texas are like sisters, sharing the oil industry, cowboys, rodeos, etc. They want me to go up there for the annual Calgary Stampede.

I'll tell you one thing you wouldn't like about Calgary, though -- the WEATHER! The temps go way down below 0 and the winters are LONG. It was still snowing in the middle of May there this year and my friends said that's not unusual!

I say that Texas just declares its independence again and we go it alone as our own Republic. We've got oil, wind energy, cotton, cattle, three growing seasons, big ole airports and ports, lots of rail, etc. Who needs the rest of 'em?! Heh, and this way we could limit the number of "immigrants" who want to come here from the Left Coast!

The warmest part, thats all I care about.. lol.

Vancouver is very nice been there a couple times when I lived in Seattle. Abbotsford maybe.. Maybe Nova Scotia, Halifax? Or New Brunswick, Saint John? Maybe Winnipeg? I am not sure I want to be on the back side of the lakes and getting all that lake effect snow.

I may have to give that area more thought then. Ahh but the weather kills it for me. I wish we would... Texas can stand on her own.

Aw heck Atxcio, I ain't bustin anybody's stump for moving on up in life. I just have questions about Obama that haven't been clearly defined. I really don't know much about John Edwards, for some reason I never saw that going anywhere. He appears to be a nice man. Bill Clinton is a Rhodes scholar if I am not mistaken, please correct me if I'm wrong. That of course takes you a long ways. Of course you can be brilliant and still be a screw-up. Heck, you can have it all dropped in your lap like little George and still be a screw up. This is one election that is almost impossible to get up in arms about, no one really cares enough to really get passoniate about it. To say the least, it's like one big bad joke, hee, hee, can't even evoke enough energy up to goad someone into an argument over it, I know I sure wouldn't argue over it. Shoot, it's probably already fixed long ago, just like the NFL. National wins the Super Bowl so many years, then it's time for the American to claim it. I honestly think the Democrats could have run a monkey for candiate and still win the election this year. That is how bad little George has screwed things up. I guess that's why we have no real candiate for the Republicans, who really wants to throw their hat in the ring in a year like this, when everyone has such a bad taste in their mouth due the the Republican reign we've been under.

Give it some time, there's going to be a lot of people wishing they could move to another country. But hey, they don't want us. Haha, why should they? They're afraid we'll get over there and just mess their country up like we've messed up ours. Now all this being said and all kidding aside, I'lve still got to say, what with everything that has gone wrong in recent years, by God, America is still a great country. We might falter a bit, but we haven't stumbled so far down that we can't survive this and come out the stronger for it. God bless America and pray for her to get through these trying times regardless of whose leadership she is under. I have faith in the American people to come out on top regardless.
