I am looking for a Texas Ball Cap for a friend.. It has to have the Texas Flag and the Rebel Flag.. he is into that stuff.. and I need it embroidered along the back fastener area.. with:

WITH A REBEL YELL... GOD BLESS TEXAS!

On the Front if we can get a Iron Cross with the rebel flag look around the outside with the Texas Flag filling the center.. that would work great!

If not, maybe we can work with a more standard cap... and embroidery something on it.

I think I would probably like this friend of yours! LOL

Seriously though, I will see what I can do for you. Being in the SCV, I have some contacts in the organization that I will holler at and see if they can provide some direction to find what you are looking for. I have seen caps with crossed Texas and Confederate Battle Flags, but sounds like what you are looking forward needs to be more "custom made".

One question though, you mention the Iron Cross as part of the design (one reason why it might have to be custom made if that aspect of it was really important). Anyway, that particular feature you mention is kinda interesting in that the "Southern Cross" (which very much resembles the old WWI German iron cross many are familiar with, and not to be confused with Nazi) traces to old "Southern Cross Of Honor" given as a military decoration to Confederate soldiers.

After the War, the basic outline was sometimes etched on the headstone of those who served the Confederacy (and still is by those issued free by the VA office). But more prominently, many these soldiers (and sailors) graves were also marked with a highly visible and seperate "Southern Cross" made of iron...featuring a Battle Flag and the Latin phrase "Deo Vindice" (translated as either "God Our Vindictor" or "God Will Vindicate").

Here is a link on it: Southern Cross of Honor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In older city cemeteries across Texas and the rest of the "Old Confederate" South, one will occasionally see them. Unfortunately though, they are becoming rarer due to being stolen...

Oh well, didn't mean to dwelve into a history lesson! LOL But yes, I will put out some "feelers" and see if anyone might have some good ideas!

LOL You're a good man, Muhnay. I'll see what I can come up for these proud Texan potential recipents of said "gimme caps" and wording!
