I prefer the UTAH desert, over the El Paso one, I also prefer trees and grass.. something not seen to often in El Paso.. but yes El Paso has its own kind of beauty.

You know if you keep making me say nice things about El Paso.. some people on here may have a heart attack and die. =)

Heh Heh.. I am glad to see you recovered and did not fall far when passing out. That could of been real bad.. I try not to say many more nice things just for the sake of your heart and head.

Yeah when I was in Mississippi, I had to hit the Casinos and go up to get the same sorta thing I get here off the mountains.. El Paso at night is a wondrous sight. I like El Paso when its many residents are sleeping. =)
LOL!!

The Utah desert is nice, too, as are the New Mexico ones.

bellestar oftexas: Ranger Hill is on I-20; I've been up and down it a few times. I-30 merges with I-20 about ten miles west of Fort Worth. The hill is pretty impressive out there in the plains, since there's nothing like it nearby. A little closer to Ft Worth, Highway 67 has a nice big hill several miles west of Glen Rose on the way to Stephenville.

I about burned up my Ford Bronco II's tranny on that hill, pulling a mud-logging trailer out to a drilling site.

I love many of the outlying areas suburbs of San Antonio. The hills over by Old Dominion are beautiful, the scenery around Fiesta Texas and Boerne as well.

I agree. The area NW of San Antonio is beautiful, up around Pipe Creek (I think that's what it's called). If only it weren't so hot and humid for so much of the year...but the greenery loves it! I don't know where Old Dominion is; we may be talking about the same thing. Boerne is nice, and don't miss The Cave With No Name and the Sisterdale Winery.

My brother in San Marcos is having a devil of a time with all the scorpions.
He kills one or two in his house every week. It's a great place to live otherwise.
