Texans have pride; Californians can barely muster apathy.

That is so not true about the Californians I know or about me, a Californian at heart. There are plenty of Texans (people in general) who don't exhibit apathy.

Be careful of being too proud. You do know that PRIDE (vanity) is considered the worst of the seven deadly sins. It isn't good.

Reading through this is funny.

Where did the rivalry between Texas and California originate?

Yes, California is a status-obsessed state. Not everyone is ... but just drive through the big cities and look at the cars, houses, and clothes. Hmm .. The Hills anyone?

My sister works at a coffee shop in the California Central Coast, and one of her customers remarked we are in a depression [speaking about the nation as a whole].

I thought being in a depression means I can't go out and buy another Dooney and Burke purse or drive 80 mph on the freeway or shop at Whole Foods. If we were in a depression we'd be eating potatoes.

I do wish the California Legislature got its budget in order. But California likes throwing money at a problem to fix it (*co education ugh*).

Even if I do have an accent (which I don't ), it's better than saying ya'll!

I think it is silly to set one state against another. (That was tried in 1861-65 and it didn't work out then either.) Texas and California are so different that it's pointless to compare them. They are both good and bad in different ways.

It must be a NorCal thing. NorCal-ers say "hella" and "ya'll."

Which is why there is a NorCal and SoCal feud.

We have now entered the NorCal versus SoCal debate. In the Texas arena. Arena, a round circular or rectangular structure for animals for display and athletic events involving men or women and their animals.

I think I will squeeze some Mr. Bubbles into my bath tub, take a long soak, and see if I can make some more bubbles after eating three charizo with onion enchiladas 3 hours ago.

Ya'all just work it out. Send me some tofu will ya? My dog is acting constipated.

Texas is nothing like California. If the Californians keep coming, however, all bets are off.
