favorite Texas river
Its got to be the Colorado south of San Saba. I grew up fishing the Brazos but when I got old enough to drive, I found the extra two hour drive worth going to the "Barefootcampground" shhh don't give up the best kept secret. Its 3 miles of prestine frontage with huge cliffs and attracts bird watchers so that there aren't alot of loud obnoxious drunks hanging around just to party, and its only $5.00 per person per day.

Great topic! I am partial to the Pedernales, Comal and Guadalupe, and........Mud Creek in East Texas.
Side note: Many of you have mentioned the gorgeous song, Rivers of Texas.....for those of you who enjoy dulcimer music, this song is like a lazy afternoon when strummed..........
