Default Moving to Lamesa

I will be moving to Lamesa soon as well, and need help in finding houses for rent. I have looked on the net, tried to get the press reporter online.. they are supposed to have an online paper... and cant find anything, can anyone help me? Looking for at least a BIG 2 bedroom, but preferrably a 3 bedroom house with a fenced in yard. Starting a job at TDCJ in Sept. so tryin to get there before hand. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the Press Reporter is here.

Remember, Lamesa is pronounced "Lameesa" and not "Lamaysa."

Best of luck in your new job.

Try Reeves Properties, (806)872-3132. Also, a business that has a rental available, Amos Supply, (806)872-6546. There was one rental available in paper, 2 bd., 1 ba., $350/mo. & $200/dep. Water paid. (806)332-9911. That's all the ad said. If you aren't familiar with Lamesa the nicest areas are (1) Between Hwy 87 and Bryant(possibly Bryan), north of North 4th Street. The further north you go the nicer it gets. (2) The SW corner of town south of Seminole Hwy and west of Ave S. There are dozens of homes for sale mostly between $45k and $100k. $100k in Lamesa will buy you a very nice home in a very good area.. If a rental is being offered outside of the above areas you may want to look at it first. Lamesa seems like a safe town but there are some very run down areas that may disappoint you if you take them sight unseen.

If you are looking for the press reporter online it is now available. Don't know if there is any info on rental houses on there but there should be a link to the chamber of commerce and they can definantly help you out.
