There are some really nice looking courthouses that for some reason when remodeled the exterior was covered up. The Swisher county courthouse is an example of that.
Some demolition had stared on the right side of the before photo.

It's too bad they did that. It looks like an office building now. I like the old courthouses, although I'm sure a lot of them are decrepit.

Why are there no Stone Masons up in arms about this sorta thing.. the old building had so much class, style, history, now what do they have.. a Russian Apartment looking building, with the ever so stylish Russian wire star on top.. yeah this is an improvement.. not.

Isn't there some sort of program where counties are or were given money or grants to improve and remodel their old courthouses. The Williamson County Courthouse in Georgetown was renovated because of that in the last few years. I think it just reopened at the end of last year, or earlier this year.
