Now... can we get back to the boi vs. tallest exchange? My popcorn is getting stale.

That is all. Carry on.
You missed the point. The point was to educate others about accurate MSA populations.

My point is who cares? Yes, yes... you're right. DFW is slightly larger than Houston. I know this. And Lagos, Nigeria is bigger than San Francisco. The point is, when are the boi and TXTallest going to get back to dancing? That's the only real reason this thread has held my interest for months on end.

That's what the homers say.
i love when people misconstrue things..

Houston may pass Chicago CITY wise in the next 2 census's or so. Metro wise we have some catching up to do.
Houston is only 500,000 people behind Chicago, and growing at 4.55% vs Chicagos .86% were bound to catch up to them sooner or later...

Shallow victory considering their size differences.

I don't think anyone was bragging? In fact, a Dallasite was the one who brought it up. I agree it's a "shallow" victory, but a victory none the less.. Something Dallasites would be boasting to the moon and back...

Houston posters have bragged about this before at HAIF and skyscraperpage. That's why I said shallow victory.

If you're referring to me, I didn't bring it up, but rather responded to a utterly vague post in order to set the record straight with an ill-informed, rude, arrogant Houston-homer who needs not speak before he fact checks.
