Houston is still more dense & diverse than Dallas.
Sorry, I usually avoid this thread like the plague, but for some reason I got bored enough to look at it tonight. I have no bets on either fighter, so my opinions do not take preference towards one city or the other. I like both cities.

With that in mind, I have to call b.s. on this one. The differences between the two are just too slight to make a claim like this. Houston is only slightly more dense than Dallas, and even then only in certain neighborhoods like the Heights, West End, and Midtown. Outside of those areas D and H are pretty much equals for density. Yes, Dallas and Ft. Worth are 2 separate metros that grew together, but they have indeed grown together as one continuous metro. They have been this way for about 20 years now.

Houston really is a cool city. When you're there you get a sense you're in a city that does things big.

But outside of forums like this one, the country doesn't really notice or care much for it.

Then you should have said the Lancaster area. Cedar Hill is far away from I-20.

No it's not. Cedar Hill isn't that far from I-20. Like three miles.

Thank you.

That person is acting like I said "...especially at the point where I-20 cuts through the Cedar Hill Town Square."

A baby born on the day this thread started would have turned 4 1/2 a few days ago.

Thanks for helping me prove my point....In Dallas its really not necessary to exit the freeway to notice the transitional change from all the great neighborhoods existing along the hwys....In Houston you have mid to highrise big, bland "tall" buildings of no significance lining every freeway in the city which causes you to feel like your driving in circles. That's why its so easy to get confused driving down there. No points of interest to use for navigating around town. Just big bland bunches of brown, beige and grey boxes everywhere. Of course it feels bigger but nothing interesting ever pops out from the jungles of skyscrapers that are faaaar as the eye can see in every direction.......And all of the buildings that are supposed to be interesting are poorly designed like the tacky hospital on I-10 with the carnival on top....JUST HIDEOUS...please stop people!!
