I'd much rather Prairie View build itself up instead of waiting for the next 10-20 years for Houston to stretch out to that area.

I give it 20 to 30 years if it ever happens. If College Station was situatated where PV is today than "Yes" because College Station have an economic driving force...Unlike PV...As far as the people thinking that BCS will be apart of Houston CSA in the next 20 years its not going to happen. The distance between metro want allow it. Residence of BCS don't drive to Houston for work because its to far of a drive. They move to Houston instead. The only thing that I can see bringing College Station into Houston CSA is a mass transit line. But that is even a big "IF" at this point. Remember the residence of BCS are central Texans at the heart. They don't really associate themselves with the Houston metro.

they don't need to go to work in Houston, its easier for us to send people there like we do with Huntsville. Huntsville is just as far, how do you think it got put in our CSA???

BCS is not Huntsville its a much larger town. It has its own metro of more than 228,660 residents. They don't associate themselves with the Houston metro. They are central Texas at heart.

Speaking of PV, I think they have a nice campus as well. I think that NW Houston/Cypress corridor is slowly approaching the PV area. Its not like back in the day when my parents went there.

BCS is too isolated. Its different from Huntsville in that theres conroe and the Woodlands fairly close. Theres not much around BCS.

I wish PV was located off 45 at the halfway point between Dallas and Houston. You talk about a powerful HBCU college. The school enrollment would have easlily been 20,000 plus....

here I am complaining about Houston not having enough when we have 4 public ones in the city itself with more than 8k (3 of them in the loop), three public schools with more than 10k (all three in the loop), and one approaching 40k (in the loop).

I guess if the Universities were not concentrated in the loop, the metro would be more scattered. As it is I like how Rice, UH, TSU and the Universities in the Medical Center share resources. On a whole I like how Houston concentrates things into districts

A&M will be included in our CSA soon. I give it to 2023
UNT Dallas opened not too long ago. It takes awhile for a university to get really established.
