I could not care less, I am just pointing out that corp have a history off doing such things, while saying nothing is going to change till you wake up one day and they have

It surprises me that Exxon is in the Dallas area. It just makes sense to me to have it somewhere around Houston. If they stay or go won't make a difference in Dallas as they don't have many jobs up here anyway.

Statler developer hopes to break ground on ambitious redo before year’s end

http://cityhallblog.dallasnews.com/2...-library.html/

Quote:
Turns out his plans aren’t limited to the Statler and the library — which is why the plan calls for a whopping 250,000 square feet of retail up and down Commerce Street, some of which would be tucked in a shiny new parking structure and some of which would go in a brand-new building. Among the “potential retailers” mentioned in the doc: Dean & Deluca, Apple, Nike, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, H&M and other high-end offerings that date back to the wish list that was the 2009 “Main Street District FOCUS Retail Initiative.”

I'm sorry but Dallas losing Exxon is big deal IF it happens. When AT&T left for Dallas it hurt San Antonio's image and helped Dallas and the same will be true for these two cities. As Texans at least we aren't losing anything in either situation.
