Guess they didn't get the memo that enclosed malls are out.

Not really, Pearland houses a large black population and you can definatly tell that when going there. Also, it is much closer to the city.

The northern part of Katy is full of Blacks. Go look at the demographics of Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek High Schools. Southern Katy is more white and Hispanic. Not to mention that the general "Katy area" is much larger than Pearland.

Wow, I can't believe this thread is still going on... Both cities are what they are; places with a lot of opportunity for people of all races, religions, and lifestyles.

Two sisters, going at it. I love family squabbles...

Yeah...it's hard to prove....but it's being promoted as such. And the key word is South Asian....not necessarily Asian...so we're talking specific area of Asia...which includes India.

There are plenty of Asian malls across the country including some in DFW..but traditionally they have been more Korean, Vietnamese, or Chinese/Taiwanese based....

Or in Houston's BelAire Blvd. district at the west end of it...the Hong Kong Mall is a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese....

Either way , he would probably like Katy more than Pearland considering Katy is known more for white people, than Pearland.

people are crazy comparing houston to dallas i lived in dallas for 5 years and houston 16 houston is better is like comparing a ribeye to a salsbury steak. and i say this because dallas lacks culture nothing but racist rednecks esp the surrounding cities like rockwall, rowlett, garland and etc. with police that harrass people because of the lack of crime so the pull over skateboarders and dallas is tiny compared to houston. houston does not sleep i mean i can drive the streets of houston at 3am without worried about getting pulled over by the police because im not the only one out the streets are full we have a beach less than an hour away.

yeah its like houston is its own state but houston has a more southern feel to it tho i can eat good food its like if the mixture of texas louisiana. dallas is like a little brother houston was the original capitol of texas if you drive in houston ur gonna see liscence plates from everywhere everything is bigger than what dallas have so to compare dallas to houston is fair houston been around longer and the 4th biggest city in the u.s. behind chicago, la and nyc.

Houston is twice as large as Dallas when comparing cities, but when comparing metros which is how you're really supposed to do it, Houston falls short by about 700,000 people because of Fort Worth.

Houston does "feel" much larger than Dallas though because of the taller buildings & much wider freeways. The first time I visited Houston my first impression upon entering the city at night was WOW am I in Los Angeles?
