rapid growth = migration quite often = upticks in criminal activity....

you may also want to consider odds for paying clientele versus public defender office clientele.......

Last I checked, and last time I was there, both Marshall and ESPECIALLY Longview had rising crime rates...of course there are beautiful areas of both cities, but there is also a deviant element as with most cities. However things may have changed for the better since I've last heard.

You want to start a law firm, and have experience in criminal defense, yet you use a "chat board" for your research? Might I suggest using a slightly more reliable source when deciding where to set up your practice?

Well, as disgusting as that is, it doesn't quite rank up there with the murders and violent crime in some of east Texas' more, shall we say, "diverse" towns.

You may want to check out the Texarkana newspaper. They have an ad in their online paper today stating that they are searching for an attorney to join their firm.

http://www.city-data.com/city/Texarkana-Texas.html

According to their crime stats on the above page, they're about double the average U.S. rates.

Waco's murder rate has been the same over the past 25 years, the worst was in the late 80's and early 90's with the crack cocaine and there were lots of housing projects were crime was all through there.

rew4946 is on a distinguished road
Default small towns high crime and corruption

In Grand Saline, There are no lawyers with crime, drugs and alcohol covering the streets in a dry county. Mineola with its sex ring in a tyler court is 12 miles up the road. Many of the people running these cities are on the take and dishonest. We have heard that the federal government has been investigating into the operations of Grand Saline including the newly formed Emergency Service District #2. Then there is Canton Texas with its First Monday trade show. Crime is on the rise in all of these areas with no honest enforcement of any kind to help the people.

Actually no it has not. Do you live here??? Have you heard about the recent murders going on aroudn East Waco??? Within the last 5 months, about maybe 10 or more people have been killed in one area and tons of drive-bys and shootings. This is definatly something serious, also one being my cousin.
