I don't think you'll catch much flack from anybody for being an LSU fan. There's more of them here than you would imagine!

I am a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. Couldn't be anymore dieharder lol.
But there is nothing like the Texas Longhorns. Have been a Horn fan since 1990 and followed them every season since. I like Texas because it's Texas. Not Texas such and such or Texas this or Texas that. Just simply Texas. I also love the traditions of UT. But not only UT, the passion of the game of college football is not matched. The rivalries, atmosphere, tradition, and passion of college football stomps on the NFL.

High school is ok. I loved it when I was there and I still like to see what my high school team is doing from time to time. The atmosphere of Texas high school football is not matched anywhere in the country. I went to games in Illinois, Florida, and Virginia and neither one of those states hold a candle to Texas when it comes to atmosphere in Texas high school football.

BTW: I love wearing my Cowboy jersey in Washington DC. Absolutely LOVE it. I also love wearing my Texas jersey up here. You know why. Because it says simply, TEXAS on the front.

Texan in Virginia will become famous soon enoughTexan in Virginia will become famous soon enough
I wasn't a football fan in college (UT) and only went to games because my date (now: husband) wanted to go. Several years ago, we were in Austin on vacation and had tickets to the first game of the season. A young freshman named Vince played for the first time and I was hooked. My husband found it quite humorous that I followed every game from that point on and we now have to have the DirecTV sports package for the Titans every year!

Hook 'Em 'Horns and Go, Vince, Go!

I saw Cedric Benson run all over Austin Westlake during the state championship some years ago. I've been a fan of Lee ever since.
