Which, you so conveniently omitted, is not binding domestic law.

While I am not in favor of the death penalty, I do not want to give them hugs and kisses. They should be punished severely. Instead, I take issue with the procedures followed, which violate international law. After those procedures are followed, lock them away or (even though I'm personally against it) execute them (if allowed by state law).
How, exactly was international law violated? We went through the process. It was taken to the U.S. Supreme Court. They ruled that Texas was not required bend to the Conneticut Twit's whims. Re-read this selection from the website that momof2dfw posted:

Quote:
In the meantime, US President George Bush instructed, via a "determination," that Texas courts comply with the 2004 ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and hold a hearing for Medellin. Texas refused to comply, saying that the federal government and the international ruling have no bearing on state criminal justice statutes. The US Supreme Court agreed to hear Medellin's case again, and sided with Texas against the President, saying that President Bush did not have the authority to order such a review. Medellin has an execution date of August 5, 2008.
Just as the United States had no say in the matter of the Singapore caning incident a few years back, and has had no say in matters involving U.S. citizens in Mexican "justice" over the past years, Mexico had absolutely no say in this matter. This is Texas, and we try everyone as if they are a Texan. This includes people born in Mexico, illegally living here since the age of six, and brutally raping, beating, and murdering underage Texas citizens.

Yes, this thread is disgusting. It is disgusting that we live in a society that is too timid to give all these scum the treatment they deserve. As such, we breed more like them each day, because the recourse for their actions typically goes unchecked. They get caught and most of them spend the rest of their lives living off taxpayer money with air conditioning, cable television, and all the weight training equipment they could ever want. The few that we send to death are given an easy out that is for the most part pain-free.

I am all for equal treatment. And by equal treatment, I mean base it off a level of pain similar to what their victims recieved.

I am sorry, but once more, this is Texas, not the PRK. Anything with the word 'Union' in it typically will turn away about 75% of the population. Add an 'ACL' in front of that 'Union' and you just alienated about another 24% of the population for your cause.

First two defendants got life in prison. Third is currently on trial. More are awaiting trial.

Life in prison is not punishment enough. I would give them the death penalty. But it's not up to me to pass judgement. That day will come soon enough. There is a special place in Hell for child molesters.

Default So how do you boys plan to unhang them?

I know that the local rag in Mineola isn't covering the story, but now that we know that Ranger Philip Kemp made up most of the "Swingers Club" story, how are you boys planning on un-hanging all those perverts who never were?

The 4th man is now going to go to trial, but without the lies and prompting of the children by Kemp.

Take a good hard look how he interviewed those children, and ask your self if your 5 and 6 year old would have made charges against you.

You can also ask yourself how it is the "Hundreds" of perverts attended these "Shows" and not one person can be named as to having attended.

You have a DA, Judge, paper and Ranger that has made fools out of you.

Absolutely. If you want the entire story read the article from the (April?) Texas Monthly. These guys being sent to prison may not be guilty of anything.

Is there any way to give a negative reputation to 90% of the posters on the first 3 pages of this thread (the members of the internet vigilante society)?

Everyone of them should rent the "Ox Bow Incident" prior to posting again.

To h*ll with them.....& to the people who lied & to the people who perpetuated the lie up in Mineola......(& to hell with Perry while we're at it).

Wow earth shattering revelations in the TX monthly. It must mean that the kids are really the evil ones, manufacturing such wild tales. The only thing wierder than these horrific crimes are the people who just cant stand the thought of someone actually being able to commit such cruelty against a little child and will instead believe in their saintly innocence and let em go fee. Now that is sick. Kinda makes you wonder what the he!! is going on in east TX. Do you really know what your neighbors are up to?
