This is true, but the amount of rainy days is far less than in Seattle. We might get 5" of rain in one month from 7 days of rain, where Seattle might only get 2" for the month, in 25 days worth.

fierce -
The leaves start changing in Dallas around Halloween and peak around Thanksgiving - so you won't have to move out of Texas - we may or may not get snow a couple of times per year and the same for ice.

Yeah I have noticed the lack (meaning none) of bbq and tex-mex in Pittsburgh when visiting. For me, im not worried about that b/c i was the one, of my friends, that always cooked the food. They always flocked over when I was making goodies.

Yes these are my complaints also and why I want to move.

I never found that Dallas was as hot as Austin, never mind San Antonio. (I lived there for many years before moving to Austin, and I still visit family that lives there.)

Same here when it comes to that. The BBQ in the Northeast just sucks. But compared to Texas, most places BBQ sucks. Never tried KC but Memphis BBQ is up there with Texas.

To be fair though. Anywhere in Central Texas outside of Austin just completely sucks. This includes Waco, Temple, Mexia, whatever.

According to the charts on the city data site, Dallas' temperatures are a bit higher than Austin or San Antonio, but there isn't much difference. Between the three cities, Dallas' humidity is a bit lower. All three are very close to the same though.
