Where should I start... I guess I will start with how nice the people are. They respect people's stuff and rights. I use to live in a small town called Orange. I sure do miss it! Also their is a lot to do down in Texas. It is a very beautiful state! The only thing I do not miss about Texas are the bugs. I live in Montana now with my husband. Montana is just like Texas except there is not as many bugs here and they get snow in the winter. I love the snow as long as I do not have to drive in it.

Hey yall.
I'm a 14 yo girl living in Dallas,Texas.

I love Texas ALOT but sometimes it is kind of hard to relate to some of you. Mainly because Dallas is abit on the city side if you know what I mean. Still though,Texas is HOME. Doesn't matter where you are it will always be home.

Mainly what I love about it is that you can lay down in the green tall grass with a friend watching the skies in complete peacful silence without the roaring of cars stuff. It just feels so good.

For those of you that haven't been here before, I HIGHLY recomend you visit. [:

Things about Texas I love and miss are:

1. The weather (it's not dry or too hot, like here).

2. The people are friendlier (you don't get that here in Arizona).

3. The men are men, and the women love them!! (I know I sure do!!).

4. Galveston Beach!!! (yeah!! I went every year when I was a child).

5. South Padre Island!!! (I went there too).

6. Some places has bars where you can bring your own drinks in (I don't drink anymore, but it does save a lot of money in your pocket).

7. Lots of family oriented restuarants and parks.

How funny, Apple valley is the exact place in Cali I moved from... Near victorville to be exact, same thing though. How's IN and Out burger??.. oh and Tom's burger on Hwy 18??? lol.. I love Texas because to ME it is a great place to live, raise a family, and a great place to be entertained. Where I live, there are many things to do and see. For others it may not be a nice place, but to ME it is. Everyone has their own view on the perfect place. I am not going to talk bad about any other places, I still like California, nothing wrong w/ it, I just found my "calling" here in Texas, that's all.

I love Texas because of the pride of the people and just the overall laid-back friendly setting. Everyone usually seems pretty friendly to complete strangers, nothing out of the ordinary just a simple hello, wave, hold the door open for people coming in or out after they pass through the door, stuff like that. I have grown up near Louisville, KY where I have heard from outsiders that the southern hospitality is great but Texas was significantly more friendly in general than it is here.

Texas is about family and values- people care and still hold the door open for you- I went to Panama City FL- totally different place- they were going to throw me out of a hospital during a hurricane- My family is in Ca- not much difference- You still have your hole in the wall places and you can be welcomed in almost anywhere
