You think El Paso could do a little better?

Maybe it's a matter of preference but that view of El Paso beats most every thing, certainly the one of Nashville which is just some buildings.

Sure El Paso has mountains, which is nice, but when I think "skyline", nature doesn't come to mind. No lakes, no mountains, just the skyscrapers.
Here's a nother example:

Cities: El Paso and Seattle

The catch: take AWAY the moutains

El Paso

Seattle

Just take away the mountains from both cities, which looks better?

Honestly, i dont think El Paso's is that bad. When Wells Fargo is lit up (whenever it is) it looks allright, but during the day, you can forget it.
But El paso doesnt need a nice skyline when you have mountains less than 3 miles away behind it. Give El Paso 20 mor eyears and you'll see it grow more, but right now the city is content with the present (which is why im glad i got out of El Paso)

El Paso's skyline sort of reminds me of Innsbruck, Austria. I went there (Austria) several years ago but haven't been to El Paso yet.

That is not a fair comparison.. Use this image that has all of Downtown.. and this is not even fair considering this is not that new and does not reflect the changes that are taking place downtown.

Want to see overkill, do a google search on DUBAI.

Houston has the best skyline and Austin has the second best. The rest are boring to me. Houston would be boring to me also if it wasn't so big.

It might have been a bad picture and EP may have great downtown projects, but on the subject of the skyline, EP is still behind many other cities. Trust me, I know. Fort Worth has alot of great projects going up in the central skyline and even a huge project that will even double the size of downtown.... but our skyline still kinda sucks. I'm saying the same thing about EP. It's great to have a whole lot of pedestrian and mid rise projects, but even with those, the skyline still doesn't look like an A, or even a B-. It's no disrespect to EP, it just doesn't have a very attractive skyline. Downtown may be nice, but the small, boxy skyscrapers just don't jump out and say "look at me".

Know what I mean?

Most impressive Texas skylines

1. Houston (day)

2. Dallas (night)

3. Austin

4. San Antonio

5. Fort Worth
