I like San Antonio's skyline alot but I always vote Austin above San Antonio because I like how modern Austin's skyline but with all the new construction in both cities my opinion may change.

Austin's is nice but typical. San Antonio's historic skyscrapers makes it's skyline more distinctive.

The Frost tower in Austin is the most impressive building.

SA's skyline from I-35 is not impressive. But once walking around downtown, it's pretty . However, I've only seen SA during the day. I'm sure it looks better at night.

Edit: Looking at the pics SweethomeSanAntonio posted on p. 8, yes, SA's skyline is pretty at night.

I don't like San Antonios skyline for the reason you do. I think it needs to be updated. It looks faded and worn down. I still think that it is a very pretty skyline but... anyway this is not about the best skyline this is about the worse skyline and I really wanted someones opinion if Odessa or Laredo is worse? Any way I have been waiting for some one to answer my question of which one is worse. I guess I should repost the pictures.

Laredo

Odessa

They are both pretty bad, but I think Laredo is probably a little worse. I think San Angelo may be worse than both of them though. It only has one "tall" building downtown and its 100 years old. San Angelo is a nice city but the skyline is horrible.

As for your earlier list, here would be my rankings.

Major Cities:
1.Houston
2.Dallas
3.Austin
4.San Antonio
5.Ft.Worth
6.Corpus Christi
7. El Paso

Minor Cities
1. Midland
Tied for worst. All others

If you were to put the populations into perspective. Laredo is definately worse off by far. Its skyline is pathetic sorta. Not to be rude.

But if you put population into perspective for all texas cities, including metro, then I would rate them as so.

1. Houston
2. Dallas
3. Corpus Christi
4. Midland
5. San Antonio
6. Austin
7. Amarillo
8. Tyler
9. Beaumont
10. Lubbock
11. San Angelo
12. Abiline
13. Waco
14. Odessa
15. McAllen
16. Brownsville
17. Laredo
18. El Paso

Now this is just a personal opinion. Please dont be offended anyone. It was hard to choose between El Paso or Laredo to be the worst. Also, I think I was the first person to even mention Beaumont. How surprising! Tell me what you think.
