Skyline might be a yawn to some but not it's vibrancy! It Kills Big D's and Houston's in that sense.

Its all perspective. You know as well as I that the shot you have is looking through all of the buildings in Greenway, it creates an illusion that it is actually urban and dense. When its really spread out, spaced with parking lots and little in the way of urban fabric.

The new omni in FW, taller than anything in greenway office park. FW's 6th tallest

There is an actual city here, not just some suburban office buildings!

There are lots of older buildings too, mixed in with the newer towers!!....

Cactus Hotel 15 Floors.
Beauregard Tower 10 Floors.
Building I don't know the name of 7 Floors.
San Angelo has zoning laws that permit the construction over 15 floors to be built, however, once the years go by, I do believe that city council and the chanber can lift the laws and let the oppourunity for more companies to build a branch or two here, other than banks (which own most of the buildings)

Ft Worth has a lame skyline, but it's downtown district is the best in the state. Pristine and well kept. We go there for weekend getaways from Houston. Stay at a nice hotel like the Marriott and walk to entertainment, upscale dining, theater performances, etc. And you don't get accosted by bums.

I agree with you. San Antonio and Fort Worth are very similiar in that aspect. What they lack in highrises they more than make up for it at street level.

Beaumont maybe the worst but I guess it is good for the size of city.Greenville wich is North East Dallas just outside the metrplex kind of has a skyline with about 4 buildings just about 10 storys tall.

Greenville also has a population of about 24,000, so I think it's safe to say they shouldn't be in the running

No, actually Beaumont's skyline is pretty decent for a city its size.

San Antonio & El Paso have the weakest Texas skylines IMO considering their size.

Ft Worth's would defineitly be second to San Antonio's. S.A.'s is more historical, more lively and has many more distinct districts. Then they have the Riverwalk, with just that, sets it apart form any downtown in the state!
