Renting in the Forney/Terrell/Kaufman area (Dallas, Tyler: apartment, rental homes)

Hello,

I started looking into renting a nice apartment or house for a couple of years in the general Forney area, Terrell, Kaufman, etc. I am not familiar with these cities and rental websites have not been very helpful as they may only have one or two listings, some none at all! Does anyone have any recommendations on what areas/communities to look into?

All Im really looking for is a nice clean and quiet place, a large apartment or small home (say, 900-1400 sqft) and fairly quick access to I20 for a biweekly commute to Tyler. My wife needs to commute to downtown Dallas every weekday so we couldnt stray too far from that. No kids so schools are not an issue.

Zembeck, I am new to this forum. Were you able to find a rental home? Were you able to find one in Forney? There were many rental homes out here to choose from especially during the summer. The inventory has gone down somewhat but I think we will continue to have rental homes available out here for sometime. Some of the homes are new and have never been lived in.

I was in Terrell last weekend for some flight training on a farm in a J3 Piper Cub. Terrell is a nice little town, I think population 20k and the people treated me great. There isn't much to do there, but that's the kind of lifestyle rural people seek. Some pics I took:

Look in Kaufman. Terrell schools have alot to be desired.
