There's been big excitement at Anna lately.....they just got their first grocery store! And it's a very nice one, at that.

Anna has grown quickly in the past 4 years....from a tiny country town to a bedroom community for Dallas....from just a few hundred people to about 5,000. The growth has now stopped completely, however, so there probably won't be many more stores going in any time soon. There is a Dollar Store, a few local places to eat, a Sonic Drive In. There is a truck stop on the highway with a Carl's Jr. ..... there are several large package stores (beer stores) on the highway by the truck stop that create a lot of traffic....the exit/entrance into town is pretty risky traffic right there because the trucks can't always get into the parking lot and they block the street.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding somewhere to live. There are quite a few houses for sale and rent, many of them in foreclosure, most of them less than 4 years old, most of them from $100K to $180K.

There are one or two new school buildings. Being a commuter community, most of the residents are young families.
