Does anyone know what the storm damage is at Lufkin? We have been trying to contact some friends at Lufkin without success. What is the report on power/phone there?

Lufkin is without power pretty much, so if you are calling a home phone you will not get through. If you are calling a cell phone you may still not get through, a lot of cell phones down in that area (not sure if it is at the towers, networks, etc) wont let you call in our out except for emergency calls (Houston area also). Sometimes if you just call repeatedly over and over on a cell you will eventually get someone. I guess it is because there is so much traffic on the cell towers and stuff...........

OK, that is pretty much what we were thinking. In this situation, no news is good news..........
