Default Videos from Galveston's West Beach & Crystal Beach

I'm sure there are folks (like me) who have vacationed in homes on Galveston's West Beach (on Galveston Island, 10-20 miles west of downtown) & on Crystal Beach (on the Bolivar Peninsula 20 - 30 miles east of downtown Galveston). Finally, here are some video's from these areas:

YouTube - Grim Scenes in Galventon's West End

YouTube - Hurricane Ike - Crystal Beach

YouTube - Aftermath of Hurricane Ike Galveston 39 dead

For me it was frustrating to watch Geraldo & the rest of the smiling, clueless tv dudes safely behind a 20 foot sea wall & pointing at sticks & bricks on Seawall Blvd....or at the Clear Lake Hilton, pointing at a broken window & a sailboat in the parking lot.....or some dude down in Clute pontificating about "stuff" (when he was standing on the "clean" side of the storm 70 miles away).

.....knowing that a 25 foot storm surge had hit Crystal Beach & an 18 foot surge had hit the West Beach. I'm glad that sites like you tube & city data can provide info that is unfiltered & w/o the babblings of clueless tv dudes.
