The photos that WillyB posted sent me into a 'tizzy'!!! I have a picture of me on a similar sign (on I10) in 1957. I also have a picture of my daugther on the same sign in 1976! I was born in Amarillo, but my poor misguided parents moved to CA when I was little. We spent every summer going back to visit relatives in McLean. My hubby and I will be retiring to the Hill Country as soon as we sell this good-for-nothing house in So.Calif. I'm packed and living out of boxes!

Thankyou for the much needed prayers autotech4dallas. Texasgirl@Heart, thankyou as well. I will pray for the two of you as well as for MissDaisy concerning moving to Texas. Who knows maybe one day when we are all living in Texas, we will celebrate over a sweet tea what God has done for us .

Oh yeah! I'll tell you though, with the way this world is running, we have never been in a time where we need Christ more than ever. My pastor told me this and he is right. I believe that Jesus is the reason for all the positivity that occurs in our life and if we keep serving, he will continue to show us the way! God has a plan for each and everyone of us and for all of us who are planning to move to Dallas, it will happen sooner or later. And like you said, it will take patience. It truly is a virtue.

Beautiful post, autotech. Without Christ in our lives, we are absolutely nothing.

...BTW...have you ever looked on other state threads??? The level of excitement and anticipation does not exist like the ones for Texas..
...could be we are on to something special...

Texas IS something special! Case in point- the "Why I left Texas" thread is almost all people talking about how sad they are that they had to leave and can't wait to get back. If you had a thread like that in any other state, it would be filled with such anger and negativity. Ours is full of nostalgia and hope. I love it!
