I grew up in Junction, which is not far from Harper. It is a nice area. I'd move there if the option presented itself.

Okay, so how hilly is Harper? I am tired of flat.

Hi KewGee,
I'm also looking at Harper. It appears to be the last piece of affordable, beautiful hill country land that is under 100k for like 15 acres. One thing though is that it starts getting rocky in this area since it's at the end of the hill country.

Let me know how it goes in your search. I'm actively looking for a purchase, who knows, maybe we can be neighbors

Harper is rocky and not as pretty as the other parts of the hill country. Out towards London area it is very pretty. I think you will like it if you move here. We have been here 10 years. We just went 2A by 10 kids and have 2 gas stations. We have the best bbq place that even had an article in the NY Times. One gas station now sell pizza and subs. They are very good!!!! Best around. We are getting a lot of people moving in from all over. Prices are going up. Better hurry!!!

Hello All, My husband and I have lived in Harper for 11 years. There are two small stores and two gas stations. Our new limestone post office is currently under construction. We recently opened a Bed and Breakfast here. We now have a library ..... woo hoo. It is small but we love it. Susan

Prices are now dropping in Harper...may want to wait and not buy anything until the fall or so.

I'm waiting for them to fall a little more in the north Fredericksburg area (Doss/Hill Top/Cherry Mountain, etc)
