Default Lake Side City, TX

Has anyone ever been to Lake Side City near Wichita Falls? We are thinking of moving to the area and this place looks interesting. Hard to find any info on it because it's so small! THanks

Pam

Yes. It is not what one would call a city. Its downtown consists of a gas station. It is basically a suburban neighborhood of Wichita Falls. Wichita Falls on two sides of the lake, Lake Side City on another. Almost all work in Wichita Falls. However Lake Side City is part of Holiday school district. Lake front property is the only reason to buy there. Any deeper and you might as well live in Wichita Falls and Wichita Falls school district. It is a quality neighborhood, but there are the same or better in Wichita Falls. www.wfar.com will let you search houses by city. Wichita Falls Association of Realtors.

That depends on price of course. There are quality neighbor hoods in most price ranges. THE neighborhoods are: Tanglewood, Sikes Estates, Midwestern Park(ahem), Country Club to name a few. These are upper middle class, established neighborhoods. There are nice new homes popping up all over. Elementary schools anything on the South or West. Pick a good neighborhood and not much to worry about.

I have lived In wichita Falls Texas my hole life if you do not want to pay high taxes move to Holiday its only 10 min away and you are able to save on property tax. If you want to live in the City I would look around Kemp Blvd over near Hayes Street its a wonderful area and close to Zundy Jr High and Old High-High school. for the price you cant really beat it I think. If you can afford more then a 140,000 dollar house I would look at tanglewood or the new homes they are building down the street from their thats on Seymore Hwy.. I just bought a beautiful Vacation House at lake kickapoo my property actuly goes right down into the water its a 2100 sq foot and I spent only 70,000 its about 28 min away from wichita Falls...Holiday school distric...happy hunting
