Default If you could remove one law from the books, what would it be?

Bear in mind that I mean Texas Law...

Open carry of beer? I think that is pretty much standard practice around here.

'Open carry' pertains the the visible carrying of sidearms/handguns (as opposed to concealed carry, which is allowed if you have a license). 'Open container' is the ability to walk/drive around with a beer...

Actually, I would want to add a law to the books, one making it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a vehicle. And 'hands-free' devices would not be allowed, it has been proven that drivers using those are still as distracted as those using their cell phones the normal way.

And I would want it enforced!

Cheers! M2

Right now, if a child is "jumped" (attacked, whatever) in school, it is a criminal offense for the attacked child to defend themselves! They have to stand there and take the beating, or run. (Ask me how I know. ) Comparatively, we have "castle doctrine" and an adult can use deadly force to defend themselves or their property. I believe that a child should be able to use reasonable force to defend themselves at school.

I think the opposite,
if somebody is allowed to have a full time job, they should be allowed to vote.
I believe that would make the voting age 16

voting age at 16 !!! just because they hold a job !! think back to your 16 age and how mature you were then . i had a job selling papers ,but that did not make me mature enough to the point that i cold determine what was good for the country . go to any local mall and loo at the abundance of immature teens hanging out there . even at Mcbarfs there are plenty of same working there . NO ! i would not want tem to vote that will affect my life .

Yes and it should carry the same penalties as DWI. Either abolish the open container law or instate an "On cell phone in vehicle" law. Studies have shown that driving while talking on a cell pnone is just as dangerous as driving under the influence of alchol. The penalties should be the same.
