Default Are there any paralegal jobs in Texas?

Few days ago, I have heard about paralegal jobs and found interest in that. As I am a Texas resident I would like to know about the paralegal jobs there. Are there any paralegal jobs available in Dallas? If you people have any idea about such jobs available in Dallas, then please let me know.

Yes, paralegal jobs are good if you have the required training or knowledge. There are jobs available in Texas that are good for paralegal opportunities and you could get one yourself in Dallas as there is no thing as “no requirement” when one has the capability to do it. I would advice you to look out for resources on texasworksource.com so that you would have a better knowledge on that.

No no jobs ever. There's 82,000 attorneys in Texas and unfortunately they hire their paralegal the day they finish law school and that paralegal always stays with them until they die. Attorneys moving to Texas take their paralegals with them. To be on top of the game go to a high school career day and find someone who wants to go to law school and stick with him/her forever.

If you don't want that advice try these three methods.

1. Look in the Dallas phone book or Martindale Hubble or Texas State Bar online and call attys in the area you are interested - you may be able to email some as well.

2.Call the Dallas Bar Assn

3. Go to the courthouse and ask attorneys and court people.

or in the same line of reasoning as my initial advice you could wait on here for attys who are looking for paralegals on city-data.

Where there's a will - there's a way - think hard and work hard and you'll find your job!

Be prepared to buy LOTS of soap to wash the slime off of you everyday after work. I'd rather clean toilets for a living than work around those slimeballs.

Love the response. Unfortunately - that's what people think about us - but hey, not a bad impression - Texas is getting too over populated anyway!

I think that you need to consider if you have the qualifications to handle the stress that most paralegals are under
I know most people diss attorneys fairly readily but many attorneys work very hard and long hours--their paralegals work harder than they do
with the economy the way it is, law firms are cutting their staffs
getting job as paralegal w/o some type of experience or connections would be difficult
and you do have to have some type of education
not many attorneys are willing to hire someone as paralegal and pay them a good salary THEN teach them their jobs---and they are not just typing/filing jobs

the OP needs to read up some more about what it means to be a paralegal
there are law school grads who can't get jobs that are taking jobs as paralegal now so there is competition from people with higher degrees for same job

Most of the paralegals I have worked around are just as bright and nearly as educated as their lawyers. The training to become certified is arduous and expensive.
