Lubbock job help please (Houston, Plains: student loans, home, university)

Let me preface this by saying that life is a lesson. One that I have had to learn.

After graduating from Texas Tech last December, I moved to Houston to be with my fiance, she also graduated from Tech with me. Her father was very ill and moved home to help her family out. I had no job and had the oppurtunity to move from home (Lubbock) to be with her. I did, but her father ended up passing away in May. We recently broke off our engagement in October and now I am looking to move back to Lubbock. I don't like it at all in Houston, I have no friends, no family and I don't particularly like my job. I would absoutely love to move back to Lubbock and be around my friends and family while I deal with everything that has happened this past year. I have been checking daily with Monster.com, Indeed.com, LubbockJobSpot.com, the Texas Tech University job Web site.

Does anybody know of any other Web sites I should be checking or know of any companies that are hiring? I am still very young, 22, and have a year of work experience. I'm not too concerned with what I do, as my first priority is to get healthy and happy again. I do have a bachelor's in Mass Communication and would like to do something in Business or Public Relations. I am currently employed by Halliburton and work in procurement. I don't need much, but unfortunately I won't be able to move unless I have a steady paycheck coming in (student loans GRRR!).

Any help is appreciated. I have only been looking for a month and I know that isn't long enough, but the more I can put my name out there the sooner I can be around the people I need to be with.

I love Lubbock and I would move home for the long forseeable future.

I'm sorry if you didn't feel that Houston was a right fit for you. Since you come from a smaller city, adjusting to a much larger place can be challenging. And not every city is for everybody. Granted, Halliburton is a pretty good company, but if you think there's something better back on the South Plains, then go seek it. As much as Houston was loaded with opportunities, so, too, is Lubbock. Now is the time to be in Lubbock, even if the nation-wide economy is down. With Lubbock growing more than ever, that means more companies are moving in.
