Ok so im lookin at getting some land for myself and some family members to build a few houses on. From what I was told in Tx you have to have at least 1 acre to beable to have a septic tank. So i would need enought land to build 4 houses on. Does anyone know what and how they allow land to be divided? Or know a contact # for someone that could tell me?

Thanx

You might want to talk to a County agency. Here's a list of Taylor County contacts
Here's a map of Taylor County. Looks like the area you're looking at might be on the east edge of the county or in the next county east, Callahan County.

This info should get you started in the right direction.

Taylor County probably abides by the Texas Administrative Code. Here is a link to it:

NOTE: The above will not create a link, so just copy and paste into your internet browser address window

And here are some links to Taylor County, building permits:

Are you set on the Elmdale area. There is acerage available throughout the Big Country area. I recently purchased thirteen acres in the Hodges area that was reasonably priced. Check this out:

Real Estate in Abilene -

Yes, you must have at least one acre of land for the septic system.
