Default Moving to Mcallen. (Hockey)

Ok so I'm 99% sure I am moving to Mcallen.
I love hockey and I made a Double A Travel team and was really into for a while until i moved to a place where the nearest rink was 108 miles away. We played a full season driving but stopped for gas prices.

Enough about that though. I am moving and since I have the chance I want to take full advantage of my ability and try to play Travel hockey for the last two years of high school and try to get noticed by some colleges, preferably Texas Tech haha. So I guess my question is are there any Travel hockey leagues within driving distance of Mcallen? I will be able to drive by the time i move there so I will make the commute if my parents let me that is haha. I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but any answers are appreciated!

Also, any good local hockey camps you know of to kick my butt back into shape would be nice! But I can look that up on my own probably.

A quick Google search brought this site up: RGV Ice Center Ice Skating Rink - Mc Allen, TX - Hidalgo County

But, seriously, playing hockey for Texas Tech isn't as hard to do as playing hockey for, say, University of North Dakota. It's not a varsity sport at TTU. They don't even play in the NCAA, but rather in Division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. So, while it is important to keep yourself in playing shape, it's unlikely that you will be "recruited" to play for TTU unless you contact the coach yourself and let him know that you are a hockey player who is interested in going to school there.

Well thank you for the reply! I was just thinking maybe playing more for the school itself. I want to do something medical and I know TTU is good for that.
