I'm moving to Denton from Atlanta for school at UNT. Just wondering what I can expect. Are the people friendly. How far of a drive from Fort Worth or Dallas ( I have some friends there). Should I be prepared for major culture shock? I'm a little nervous and I'm leaving tomorrow.

Wink Relax

I lived in Denton for many years and went to UNT (for many years). Sometimes I wish I still lived there. Most people there are friendly. I haven't spent much time in Atlanta, but I don't think you'll have any big problems. Denton is 30 or 40 miles from Fort Worth and Dallas (depending on where in FtW or D you're measuring it from). It seems like a long way during the so-called rush hours.

UNT is a fun school, and Denton is a pretty cool town. You'll enjoy it.
